Thank you for taking the time to learn about living a naturally healthy lifestyle. We hope you are finding this website useful in your healthy living endeavors.
This site was founded and inspired by my desire to learn more about natural health and the many different ways to create a healthy lifestyle. While our tagline: "A Lifestyle is a Terrible Thing to Waste" is somewhat in jest, I do take seriously the information listed in these pages and do believe that simple lifestyle changes can have a dramatic impact on your ability to enjoy life to the fullest!
Now for a little Q and A…
Why do you have this website?
I’m a firm believer in personal responsibility for your own health and this website started as a way for me to take charge of my own interests in health, while educating others. It’s my version of a “labor of love”.
Is this your fulltime job?
Nope, but it certainly feels like it at times. My day job is as an HR executive in a large Kentucky health system. This serves as a nice supplement, but my day job keeps me pretty busy.
What is your natural health philosophy?
It’s very basic, really. The human body is meant to move, to be active and to be healthy. We simply have to “feed the need”. To me, it just makes sense to exercise, eat natural, organic foods, to avoid excessive chemicals and to take care of the earth we live in. Natural Health encapsulates that philosophy. How could you possibly argue against it?
Why should I listen to you?
Well, I’m neither a doctor, nor a naturopath but I have certainly spent plenty of time studying natural health and the issues surrounding it. This may not make me an expert, but it does mean I have access to those who are...and when I’m at a loss for words I ask them to fill in.
What’s your political persuasion?
It’s probably obvious from my writing that I enjoy politics. As far as party, my answer is neither. I am a registered independent, but I tend to lean more conservative. While this is my tendency, I am continually infuriated by both political parties and their neglect on issues of public health and the environment. I’m sure this will come through in my writing at times. Deal with it…
What’s your favorite way to exercise?
I have always loved the weight room. There is nothing more primal that seeing a bunch of weights and seeing how much of them you can pick up. Yes, I can be a Neanderthal. I also love running, biking, and the occasional swim. More recently, relay races across the country have become an obsession. You’ve got to get a team together and try one out!
I am hopeful you enjoy the content and come back often to see what we've added. Thanks for stopping by!
