Whole Food Recipe

Sesame Potato Skins

This is an unusual whole food recipe that serves as a great appetizer. Try this dish out at your next gathering. Remember to stick with organic foods and spices!

Ingredients

  • 5 potatoes with skins

  • 3 tbsp. tahini

  • 1 tsp. tamari

  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil

Scrub and cut potatoes into quarters. Mix sesame tahini, tamari and sesame oil. Roll each potato quarter in the mixture and spread them on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for 30-35 minutes, turning them a couple of times.

If you want them to be really crispy, put under the broiler for a couple of minutes, turn and watch very closely to not let them burn.

Natural Health Tip

Never eat the potato "eyes", they can make you sick, so cut them out. Also, potatoes are a suprisingly great source of vitamin C, so make sure to get your fill!
